Danielle: It turns out, just as we were about to give up, and had spent a good chunk of the morning trying any conceivable type of trail, we found the right one. There were very few trail signs, which made it difficult in determining where we were.

Here the climb became very strenuous and continued so the closer we came to Gilmore Lake. It seemed like the climb would never end. At one point on the trail I just completely stopped and lay down. It was "fuel" time for Danielle.

This hike reminded me a lot of our backtracking trip in Colorado; hiking in shorts, and seeing snow covering peaks on the mtn.

Tad: As you can see from the snow in the foreground, we've passed the snow line. I think that at this point, we're at about 8,000 feet.
