(Sunday, October 14, 2001) Damn, I can't remember the last time I was awake so early! Up and at 'em. I had to break camp and high-tail it for the car. I had to be at San Francisco International Airport by 2:30 pm to pick up Danielle. The night was chilly. It probably got down to the mid 30's. Even though this camp was higher than the Forest Service campground I stayed at on Friday, I felt that it was warmer.
So, I admired the sunrise, packed up, and headed out. I ate breakfast (and filtered some water, since I was out) when I got to Long Lake, and made it back to the car by 9:00 AM. A perfect end to a great trip!
