(Saturday, October 13, 2001) Bad lighting. This is a picture of me along the trail to Long Lake. I should have picked a better spot for the picture. Anyway, you can see what the forest looks like; mostly fairly open, completely coniferous, though which types of pine (other than "green, with needles"), I couldn't tell you. There is a lot of granite (which you'll see later on) poking out of the ground everywhere.
